Ably Resources have an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join a highly reputable Hotel Developer undertaking the construction of major projects in Malta.  

A Health & Safety Manager is now required to take full HS responsibility on a large construction site. This role will include the development and implementation of policies in accordance with legal and corporate requirement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Providing health & safety training to site personnel
  • Ensuring all workers and subcontractors follow regulations utilising PPE etc
  •  training sessions on health and safety practices and regulations for all site personnel.
  • Managing any accident investigations and ensure preventative measures are implemented
  • Maintaining full records of inspections and incidents and produce reports for management
  • Remaining updated on any new legislation in relation to construction health and safety; adjusting policies and procedures as necessary
  • Liaising with health & safety policies

Talent will:

  • Preferably hold a Degree in Health and Safety or related discipline
  • Possess health & safety certifications
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ similar experience preferably within the construction sector
  • Have excellent communication, problem solving and reporting writing skills
