HSE Officer (South)

A leading company in Malta are looking for an HSE Officer. The HSE Officer needs to keep abreast of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and will need to deputise for the Quality and HSE Manager. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be responsible to:

• Monitor, investigate and report incidents;
• Assess risks associated with work activities, tools, equipment and job-sites;
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections of processes and facilities in line with compliance regulations and policies;
• Develop and conduct training programs on safety and environmental awareness;
• Handle emergency response drills and be a key member of the incident response team;
• Consult with the local Health and Safety Authorities and other stakeholders on day-to-day safety issues;

Requirements:

• Must have previous experience in a similar role
• The chosen candidate needs to be proactive and with strong analytical skills;
• Possess good written and oral communication skills to create and deliver reports presentations and training materials;
• Must be fluent in the Maltese language;
• Candidates having a degree in Occupational Health and Safety are preferred
• Candidates should be conversant with all MS Office applications.
