Assistant Chief Security Officer

Mercury Towers Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Chief Security Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.

OVERVIEW:

As part of the pre-opening team, the Assistant Chief Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring staff, tenants, clients and vendors, as well as overseeing security alarm response, fire alarm response, and immediate emergency notifications. Maintains daily/weekly reports for Mercury Security Department, assists Site Supervisor with investigations and other administrative duties as assigned. The Assistant Chief Security Officer will act as the senior security officer on duty in the absence of the Chef Security Officer and Shift Supervisor. Other duties include but are not limited to, safety direction, quality assurance, planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the security team during normal and emergency operations and training.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans organize and coordinate all phases of security operations 
• Badge access set-up and badging of visitors to the site 
• Complete daily/weekly reports, daily badge audit reports 
• Provide supervision to security officers in absence of Shift or Site Supervisor 
• Alarm response, fire alarm response and immediate emergency notifications 
• Enforce and monitor safety measures and security protocols 
• Assist in organizing fire drills and staff training 
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the company’s security protocol 
• Handles complaints, settles disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiates with others 
• Direct and control the security team during normal and emergency operations and training 
• Provide assistance to, tenants vendors, employees and visitors in a courteous & professional manner 
• Chief Security Officer reliever. 

REQUIREMENTS:  

• The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years of prior experience 
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Effective oral and written communication skills 
• Active listening skills 
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively 
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately 
• Ability to communicate in the Maltese and English languages 
• Attention to detail.
