Senior Manager (People & Corporate Services)

Our client within the Financial Services Industry are seeking a Senior Manager to strengthen the People & Corporate Services Section. This section serves as the hub for comprehensive corporate support, encompassing finance, human resources, communications & PR, and procurement, logistics & office administration. Reporting directly to the Director, this role involves collaborating with managers within the section to ensure cohesive and efficient operations throughout and oversee the strategic and operational functions of the sub-sections.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and improve the section’s operations and efficiency, making unilateral decisions when necessary.
• Develop and implement strategic plans in line with the Unit's objectives to ensure operational excellence.
• Manage the Payroll and Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Administration & Procurement, and Communications & PR managers, ensuring effective team leadership and target achievement.
• Work with the Finance Manager on financial planning, budget management, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the HR Manager to enhance talent acquisition, employee development, retention strategies, and workplace culture.
• Ensure seamless operations in Logistics, Administration & Procurement, and optimal office management and maintenance.
• Guide the Communications and PR Manager in strategy development and execution for public image, internal communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Conduct periodic meetings with sub-section managers to coordinate workflow, resources, and planning for maximum efficiency.
• Monitor and review team performance to identify improvement areas and ensure quality work.
• Oversee the maintenance of the section’s policies, procedures, and measures.
• Plan the section’s operations and goals to meet priorities, targets, and deliverables.
• Conduct performance appraisals and one-to-one meetings as needed.
• Provide guidance, support, leadership, and direction to sub-section managers to help them reach their targets.
• Perform any other duties delegated by the Director, Deputy Director, and/or Head of Section.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday: Winter Hours: 08:00hrs – 17:00hrs

                                                          Summer Hours: 08:00hrs – 13:30hrs

• At least seven (7) years of relevant work experience, including three (3) years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of managerial competence, efficiency, and diligence.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English.
• People-oriented and results-driven.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills with demonstrated technical competence, efficiency, leadership, ethical responsibility, and diligence.
• Highly organised, meticulous, and capable of outstanding multitasking.

• University degree or equivalent qualification at MQF Level 6 or higher in Business Administration, Procurement, Management, Accounts, Finance, Public Policy, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field.
