Inspire, Malta is currently looking to recruit a Rehab & Wellness Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

General Scope and Purpose of Position:

The Rehab and Wellness Manager shall be directly responsible for the comprehensive planning, delivery, business development, and daily operations of the Rehab and Wellness Centre.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on the upkeep of all the areas in the Centre, contributing towards its upkeep at excellent levels
  • Ensure the provision of support services and smooth coordination with any third-party service provider working within the pool area
  • Handle and address all customer complaints smoothly and provide timely replies and, where applicable solutions
  • Supervise and lead tasks related to organisation of activities, teams, time-tabling and other related duties
  • Be proficient in conflict management and able to organise and lead staff giving clear direction and support as required
  • To continually seek to improve the standards of the Rehab and Wellness Centre through networking, collaborating with experts and colleagues both within Inspire as well as outside the organisation
  • To own and manage the annual budget for the Centre, making the best use of resources while ensuring that all the necessary tools are available for employees to deliver a top-quality service
  • To ensure the health and safety of clients, employees and volunteers at all times, working with colleagues within Inspire in order to continually monitor and improve the suitability of the environment within which the service is being delivered
  • To be responsible for the general upkeep of all hydro baths, wet rooms, MSR, and therapeutic Intervention rooms across all facilities within Inspire. To introduce a logging system in all areas
  • To create and maintain a structure which guides employees through nurturing and mentoring (reflective practice), knowledge sharing and consultation, as well as measuring of performance
  • To motivate employees to take ownership and to be accountable for the quality of their work and to build confidence in the use of specific evidence-based strategies and approaches of intervention
  • To communicate complex sensitive and contentious information as appropriate to different stakeholders
  • To manage all internal and external stakeholders’ requests
  • To oversee the recruitment process of employees within the Centre, ensuring an appropriate attitude and background of those persons enrolled
  • To participate in projects in accordance with exigencies of the Organisation and as agreed with the Chief Services Officer
  • To ensure the development, production, analysis and reporting of KPIs and any other relevant reports/statistics in relation to the services provided under the remit of the Rehab and Wellness Centre
  • To ensure that all rules and regulations are clear and known to all employees falling under his/her responsibility, providing guidance, discipline in a manner which is conducive for the growth of employees
  • To contribute towards the setting and reaching of yearly expenditure budgets and promoting a culture of efficiency
  • To establish and maintain good communication networks with clients, carers and other health workers and agencies
  • To promote the services the Centre offers and recommends innovative ways to attract new customers and groups
  • Tests and reports on new technologies and equipment that could improve the level of service of the Centre and all other ancillary facilities (hydro bath, wet rooms, MSR, and therapeutic Intervention rooms across all facilities within Inspire)
  • To be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the Swimming School and any other service that may, from time to time, be offered in the pool area
  • To replace and fill in for other staff within the Rehab Centre and Ancillary Facilities, performing actual duties, as may be required from time to time to cover for sick and leave
  • In line with lnspire’s guidelines, review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal
  • To provide effective supervision and appraisal for employees under his/her remit
  • To be on call should any urgent matters arise even outside of standard working hours
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the department's SOP's, policies and procedures.

Role Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • A Degree qualification (minimum MQF Level 6) in Business Administration/ Management.
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
  • High proficiency in English Language (both spoken and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (excel, word, powerpoint etc.).

Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunisation.
