General Manager (Travel & Tourism)

Our company operates in the hospitality industry and as they are growing they would like to engage a General Manager. You will directly report into the Board of Directors.

The Role

• Manage all company operations and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and the industry.
• Drive business growth, client satisfaction, and employee engagement.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure the company's profitability and long-term success.
• Develop and implement long-term and annual business plans.
• Retain and expand client relationships, create new revenue streams, and form strategic alliances.
• Lead the team to achieve sales targets and handle customer inquiries.
• Negotiate contracts and manage company finances, including budgeting and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Oversee marketing efforts and represent the company at industry events.
• Manage HR functions, including recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
• Maintain company facilities and ensure Occupational Health & Safety standards.

• Proven leadership skills with experience in financial management and strategic planning.
• Strong decision-making abilities, interpersonal skills, and customer service orientation
• Knowledge of travel technology is considered as an asset
• Have experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality, and experience in a leadership role within a DMC or similar environment - A MUST

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
• Preferably have experience in tourism studies
