We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and forward-thinking hospitality leader to join our team as Director of Rooms at DoubleTree by Hilton Malta.
As a valued member of the Executive Committee, this pivotal role is responsible for leading the entire Rooms Division, encompassing Front Office, Housekeeping, Leisure, Entertainment, Safety & Security, and Engineering, while orchestrating the end-to-end guest journey. The Director of Rooms plays a critical role in delivering exceptional, personalised, caring experiences that define the DoubleTree brand, whilst driving operational excellence, commercial performance, innovation, and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, inspire, and empower the Rooms Division team to deliver exceptional, personalised guest experiences at every touchpoint
· Champion a culture of service excellence, driving guest satisfaction, loyalty, and Hilton brand performance metrics
· Oversee all Rooms Division functions, ensuring seamless integration, operational efficiency, and elevated service delivery
· Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusivity, and continuous development, building high-performing teams
· Leverage guest insights, analytics, and performance data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Food C Beverage, Engineering, Finance, and HR to achieve strategic objectives
· Drive the adoption of innovative hospitality technologies, including mobile-enabled guest journeys, digital check-in, AI-enhanced service tools, and operational automation
· Ensure full compliance with Hilton brand standards, health C safety regulations, sustainability commitments, and quality assurance processes
· Optimise labour productivity, budgeting, forecasting, and cost efficiencies while maintaining exceptional service standards
· Support wellness-driven and experience-led initiatives in line with evolving traveller expectations
· Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, VIPs, corporate partners, and Hilton stakeholders, enhancing the hotel’s reputation and loyalty base
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
· Proven leadership experience within Rooms Division operations in a high-quality hotel environment
· Strong understanding of modern hospitality trends, including experience with different market segments; MICE, corporate, Leisure, families and Groups
· A genuine guest-first mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences
· Exceptional people leadership, coaching, and communication skills
· Strong commercial acumen, supported by analytical and problem-solving capabilities
· Experience working within international brand standards, with Hilton experience considered an advantage
· The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment
· Comprehensive operational knowledge of hotel Rooms Division functions
· High emotional intelligence, with an authentic, empathetic leadership style
· A proactive approach to innovation, digital adoption, and continuous improvement
