Foster Clark Products Ltd. in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Finance & Compliance Analyst to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
Reporting to the F&C Manager, the F&C Analyst is responsible for the Company’s general accounting and financial reporting. The Manager is responsible for the accounting and monitoring of significant annual investments in Hi-Tech production machinery. The role necessitates a control mindset to ensure a robust internal control framework across the Company’s functions.

Key Accountabilities:
Financial reporting and general accounting:

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of transactions and associated Financial Reporting
  • Assist the F&C Manager to develop and maintain the Company’s internal control framework. Ensure accurate reconciliation & reporting of internal accounts.
  • Coordinate / Drive the implementation and automation of existing & new company procedures related to statutory reporting obligations and managing ledger accounts.
  • Monitor and resolve compliance issues involving the company and also those effecting the industry.
  • Coordinate the annual surveys/audits required by the company.
  • Perform internal audits and ensure compliance with the internal control framework.
  • Plan and support external auditors in carrying out the financial audit of the company.
  • Ensure that appropriate insurance coverage is maintained at all times
  • Champion data structuring, maintenance, analysis, and accuracy of the Finance to Reporting flow.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements with a view to improving internal control


Process Taxes:

  • Assist in income tax computations, tax payments, VAT returns, and reporting, ensuring compliance to tax legislation and regulations (i.e., from Malta Enterprise).
  • Assist in the execution of Tax related activities.
  • Execute hedging transactions and monitor international rates
  • Forecast and monitor changes in foreign currency value and interest rates with a view to anticipate risks associated with currency fluctuation 
  • Develop and execute hedging transactions. Evaluate and refine hedging positions.
  • Produce hedge accounting transactions and reports


Asset Accounting, Disposal, and control:

  • Account for fixed assets purchases and disposals. Track asset/project expenditure during asset construction
  • Account for costs, useful life, resale value, depreciation, and amortization of Fixed Assets
  • Maintain a detailed asset register outlining original cost, depreciation, and NBV to date
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and obsolescence assessments of Fixed Assets
  • Conduct asset disposal to retire assets as relevant
  • Monitor whether assets deliver according to expectations. Monitor and track whether expected benefits linked to assets are realised.


Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education:

  • MQF 6 level Degree in Accountancy


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years overall experience. With a particular focus on FMCG.
