Director of Finance

  Premier Restaurants Malta, the operator of nine McDonald’s restaurants across the Maltese Islands, is seeking an experienced accounting professional for the role of Director of Finance to assume responsibility for the company’s accounting and fiscal functions.

THE POSITION
Based in Malta and reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Finance establishes and maintains accounting procedures and processes, accounting systems, and accounting filing and archiving. The role also involves the preparation of management accounts, management of employees\' salaries and benefits, review of trading performance of the business, improvement of internal control systems as necessary, preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and cash and capital requirements, financial analysis of all earnings-related reports, and ensuring the business complies with statutory fiscal and corporate obligations. The ability to liaise with other departments concerning financial matters and oversee projects from a financial standpoint is key to the role’s success.

THE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with at least three years\' experience, able to perform well in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, a willingness to join management in improving systems and processes, and a supportive team-building personality. Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications is essential.
