Compliance Manager

Our client within the Financial Services is looking for a Compliance Manager to lead the team 

Responsibilities:

• Supervising and reviewing team activities.
• Ensuring directives are implemented by subject persons.
• Coordinating resources for maximum efficiency.
• Providing adequate training and support to team members.
• Monitoring and improving team performance.
• Participating in Compliance Monitoring Committees.
• Assisting with court file preparation and attending court sittings.
• Reviewing and maintaining section policies and procedures.
• Updating the entity's database.
• Providing AML training and public awareness.
• Liaising with other authorities.
• Advising senior management on compliance matters
• Representing the organization internationally.

• At least six years' relevant experience, with at least two years in a senior-level role
• Applicants should be proficient in the laws that govern the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism in Malta and relevant international standards and EU legislation in the area.
• Excellent writing and verbal communications skills in both Maltese & English.

• a University Degree or an equivalent qualification at MQF Level 6 in law, banking and finance, financial services, insurance, accounting, auditing, statistics, or economics;
