Senior Financial Controller / CFO

A reputable client of ours specialising in the hospitality and retail sector is looking to onboard a Senior Financial Controller / CFO to join their team of professionals; This person will be reporting to the CEO, and responsibilities are as follows:

Duties:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, forecasts and budgets.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to
  the management team.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Collaborate with department heads to create realistic and strategic financial plans.
• Monitor and report on budget variances, providing explanations and corrective actions.
• Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide insights into cost optimisation and revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Manage cash flow to ensure the company's liquidity and financial stability.
• Optimise working capital and implement efficient cash management strategies.
• Coordinate and oversee the annual audit process.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and taxation requirements.
• Communicate financial results, strategies, and risks to non-financial stakeholders.

• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and leadership roles
• Would ideally be familiar with retail and restaurant business operations
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Must be a fully qualified and warranted Accountant
