Our Client is a European Construction Contractor now undertaking a range of projects in Malta, and they are looking to recruit a Warranted Building Services Engineer to join their team.
A Warranted Building Services Engineer with experience in the local market is now required to join the new Malta operation. This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services professional who wishes to be involved in the starting stages of the fully backed company with a view to expanding the team. The role will suit a versatile individual who can undertake all elements of projects from the preparation of cost estimates through to the completion of works on site.
Responsibilities include:
Preparation of cost estimates for MEP works and preparation of Bid Documents for building projects (both new build and refurbishment/restoration)
Determining project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
Supervising projects, to ensure compliance with engineering designs and documents and confirms specifications.
Confirm adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting the construction sites, and verifying calculations and placements.
Validating design issues related to MEP and suggesting alternative solutions.
Fulfilling project requirements by guiding operators.
Maintaining operations by enforcing project and operational policies and procedures.
Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Directing, monitoring, and controlling the activities of MEP Subcontractors.
Liaison with Consultant MEP supervisory Engineers, Inspectors, and relevant staff.
Ensuring that MEP Subcontractors provide and adhere to relevant Quality documentation/records.
Ensure that MEP Subcontractors adhere to Project safety regulations.
Maintaining project database by entering data and completing backups.
Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP equipment.
Applicants will:
Be Warranted Engineers with several years of experience in Malta
Possess fluency in written and spoken English
Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD
Have tender preparation, design, and site development skills
