Generator Operator
Operating out of our modern workshop in Burmarrad, UNEC Servicing Ltd. specialises in the repair and maintenance of prestigious brands such as DAF, Caterpillar, Cummins, Hyster and Ingersoll Rand amongst others. UNEC Servicing currently has a vacancy for a Generator Operator to join our dynamic team.
The Generator Operator will be responsible for:
- Operating and controlling machinery and systems used in power generation such as generators, and other auxiliary equipment.
- Monitoring various indicators, gauges, and meters to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems within the power plant.
- Making adjustments to controls and settings based on operational needs and changes in demand to maintain efficient and safe operations.
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues or hazards.
- Being prepared to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, such as equipment malfunctions and power outages.
- Adhering to established procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
- Working collaboratively with other operators and maintenance personnel to coordinate activities and achieve operational goals.
The successful candidate should preferably have:
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role.
- The ability to work on their own initiative as well as form part of a team.
- Fluency in English.
