We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in the construction sector. The Mechanical Engineer will monitor our client's operations ensuring that the production meets the quality standards.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a company focused on the construction and manufacture of building materials and is based in Naxxar, Malta.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Production Manager implementing and improving process
- Review and redesign production schedules, processes, specification to maximise the efficiency of the production
- Ensuring product and quality process meets specifications required
- Design control system
- Work with other departments to develop production standards
- Prepares inventory analysis and procurements in relation to production operations
- Train staff for the new process implemented
- Ensures that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns
- Generates process documentation and reports
- Work with technical writers to prepare client and customer proposals
- Lead and/or support technician.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of two years of working experience
- Advance knowledge of production processes and standards in the fields
- Good working knowledge of the Maltese language
- Project management skills
- Organisational, planning and documentation skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Attention to details
- Time management
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
EDUCATION:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
WORKING TIME:
Monday to Friday, from 07:00 till 16:00 with one hour break.
