We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Controller to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained in all projects carried out on vessels within the maritime industry. The ideal candidate must possess a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of quality control procedures.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of all fabrication and painting jobs performed on vessels to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Verify the accuracy of work orders and specifications, ensuring that all repairs and jobs are carried out according to established procedures.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of welding, cutting, and painting processes to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

Supporting the Team in the upkeep of Management Systems, including participating in ongoing Continuous Improvement Projects.

Assisting in Internal & External Audits to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.

Coordinating and reviewing documentation related to quality control processes and procedures.

Adhering to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards, maintaining compliance with relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments based on inspection findings.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate inspection results and recommendations clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for maritime operations is preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Proven experience in quality control or a related field within the maritime industry, with a strong emphasis on fabrication and painting processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or training in quality control would be advantageous.
