Principal Engineer (Projects)

Our client, a global manufacturing company is recruiting for a Senior Engineer within Operations Engineering. You will be forming part of a growing team, reporting to the Engineering Manager, your duties will include;

• Act independently with minimal supervision to lead global cross-functional teams supporting large VIP projects.
• Provide program updates and conduct reviews with all levels of management.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate the value stream for any given project, build of business cases in relation to the project and its financials.
• Lead large scale change controls associated with, but not limited to VIP’s.
• Using your project management skill sets, you will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress
• Prepare as necessary technical protocols and reports.
• Perform root cause investigations for technical problems.
• Perform basic statistical analysis and interpret functional testing results.
• Embrace projects accountability for critical decisions and deliverables with increasing complexity.
• Utilize creative thinking and teamwork to resolve conflicts/drive rapid decision making across sites/regions and functions.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to entry-level engineers.
• Occasional travel to Other plants / Supplier / Customer sites internationally will be required.

• 3-5 Years of work experience
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments and lead effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
• Experience with medical products or in a regulated environment is required.
• Must be well versed in Project Management tools and must possess knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously.
• Based in Malta

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree level preferred.
