Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join a reputable manufacturing company. You will form part of a team of engineers where you will implement, support, and maintain the manufacturing quality systems to ensure quality products are received from suppliers and parts are delivered on-time to the customer with the highest quality standards. 

Responsibilities:

• Work with Engineering and Operations to develop FMEA’s, control plans, standardized work instructions, and other necessary documentation 
• Develop and analyze statistical data and process output with a goal of continuous improvement 
• Initiate and lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts with applicable team members 
• Perform audits of quality documentation, processes, and production systems 
• Identify and implement improvements in quality and customer satisfaction 

Requirements:

• A Degree level of education in Mechanical Engineering 
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience within a similar role, ideally within the automotive industry or similar
• Excellent communication skills in English, Maltese is preferred
• Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, be proactive and target driven  
• Must possess and be able to apply a broad knowledge of Quality principles, practices and procedures with a good understanding of quality approaches 
• Demonstrate strong strategic perspective and an analytical approach to work 
• Having Six Sigma and/or other related quality disciplines including Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Supplier Quality Assurance will be considered an asset
