The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment, machinery, and facilities operate efficiently and reliably. This includes managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, handling breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems, and overseeing team performance and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Maintenance & Facilities team, plan daily activities, and ensure equipment availability while responding to breakdowns.
  • Improve operational performance by driving maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE, TEEP) and reporting results.
  • Implement and maintain autonomous maintenance processes for operators.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work to maximise planned downtime and minimise unplanned stoppages.
  • Ensure facilities remain fully operational and provide effective technical support when needed.
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy (HSEE) standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of engineering data systems.
  • Support implementation and use of MES (Coox) and ERP (Silver) systems for maintenance operations.
  • Promote Industry 4.0 and automation initiatives in line with company standards.
  • Perform other tasks as required by senior management.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and prepare annual reports.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, ensuring proper organisation and stock control.
  • Evaluate cost and feasibility of departmental projects.
  • Promote collaboration between departments to improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and HES corporate guidelines.
  • Maintain strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company code of conduct.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Education and Experience

  • Degree, HND, or equivalent in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering Facilities / Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proven experience leading maintenance teams.
  • Several years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or engineering management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in: Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance AND Breakdown management (mechanical, electrical, automation/robotics).
  • Experience improving equipment performance using KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, OEE, and TEEP.
  • Budget management and cost control experience.
  • Experience working with CMMS, ERP, or MES systems (e.g., maintenance planning software).
