The selected candidate will be responsible for the planning, organisation and general overall supervision of work across Energy Centre and the Workshop to ensure that workflows are completed according to established procedures, in a timely manner and within all quality and safety parameters. This will be achieved through day-to-day effective leadership of his / her team/s to achieve established objectives and deadlines, meet KPI targets and strive for continuous improvements in the process/es s/he is responsible.
Key objectives include:
Lead, motivate and develop teams to ensure planned output requirements and quality standards are met whilst all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.
Review team performance regularly to identify areas for improvement and encourage progress of individual team members through onsite inspections, performance review, and agreed personal development plans.
Plan and supervise works with direct subordinates to ensure that daily essential services are relative to production / operational needs and schedules.
Prioritize plant breakdown intervention, maintenance, overhaul and repair relative to time schedules, production and manning requirements.
The ability to trouble shoot and resolve technical service and plant issues that arise, following up and liaising with production managers and other sections as required.
Actively participate in the implementation of Continuous Improvement systems within the areas of his / her responsibility.
Ensuring regular communication / briefing between employees and management to provide the team with the relevant information to carry out their tasks to maximum effect.
Monitor, maintain and evaluate continuous data logging compilation and collection of operational parameters (log sheets) in a timely and according to established procedures.
The selected candidate will:
Have a leadership / management / technical Diploma; employees in possession of wireman licence A & B will be favourably considered.
Have experience working in a technical services environment.
Preferably have a 2+ years of leadership experience.
Have working knowledge of quality systems and processes.
Be self-motivated, possessing strong leadership, interpersonal and coaching skills, team facilitation and problem-solving skills.
Show initiative and creativity and being able to work on a team and lead projects.
Be an excellent communicator both verbally and written, possessing good analytical and presentation skills.
Have good analytical acumen and be able to respond to results.
