Structural Engineer

A client is looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Director, the chosen candidate will:

• Design and analyze structural systems and elements using reinforced concrete and masonry
• Manage and oversee all structural engineering aspects of active projects
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure structural integrity
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, technical standards, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare, review, and validate structural calculations, drawings, and related technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with architects, draughtspersons, contractors, and other project stakeholders
• Provide technical expertise and resolve structural issues encountered during construction
• Support project delivery throughout all phases, from initial design through to on-site execution

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Education and Experience

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is a must
• Must be based in Malta and hold proven local experience in a Structural Engineer role
• Experience handling site works from a structural perspective
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial development projects
• Valid driving licence is a must
• Local warrant is considered an asset
• Maltese will be given preference unless person holds strong local experience in the same role and level
