Job Responsibilities and Duties
Advise private clients on investment migration programs, residency and citizenship options, and due diligence, including relocation to Malta and other immigration-related matters
Manage the registration of documents with the Malta Public Registry, CFR, Identita', and other relevant authorities
Prepare legal memoranda and supporting documents
Assist clients with applications for residence permits, work permits, visas, citizenship, and other immigration-related requirements
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on application progress and any regulatory changes that may affect them
Keep up to date with local and international immigration laws and advise clients on relevant developments
Support clients in preparing appeal submissions and handling inquiries from immigration authorities
Assist in delivering internal training sessions on immigration law updates for colleagues and external partners
Act as a liaison with local immigration and tax authorities on behalf of clients
Contribute to the creation of content such as articles and reports on immigration-related topics
Advise clients on the steps and requirements for securing different types of licenses in Malta
Draft and review legal agreements, including employment contracts, shareholder agreements, service agreements, and lease agreements, ensuring compliance with Maltese and EU regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Experience
Licensed lawyer holding a Maltese warrant
At least 3 years of experience in Immigration Law
In-depth understanding and genuine interest in Immigration Law
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Maltese
Skilled in using Microsoft Outlook and the Office Suite.
Personal Skills
Proactive with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills, capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks effectively.
