Job Responsibilities and Duties
  • Advise private clients on investment migration programs, residency and citizenship options, and due diligence, including relocation to Malta and other immigration-related matters
  • Manage the registration of documents with the Malta Public Registry, CFR, Identita', and other relevant authorities
  • Prepare legal memoranda and supporting documents
  • Assist clients with applications for residence permits, work permits, visas, citizenship, and other immigration-related requirements
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on application progress and any regulatory changes that may affect them
  • Keep up to date with local and international immigration laws and advise clients on relevant developments
  • Support clients in preparing appeal submissions and handling inquiries from immigration authorities
  • Assist in delivering internal training sessions on immigration law updates for colleagues and external partners
  • Act as a liaison with local immigration and tax authorities on behalf of clients
  • Contribute to the creation of content such as articles and reports on immigration-related topics
  • Advise clients on the steps and requirements for securing different types of licenses in Malta
  • Draft and review legal agreements, including employment contracts, shareholder agreements, service agreements, and lease agreements, ensuring compliance with Maltese and EU regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Experience
  • Licensed lawyer holding a Maltese warrant
  • At least 3 years of experience in Immigration Law
  • In-depth understanding and genuine interest in Immigration Law
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Maltese
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Outlook and the Office Suite.
Personal Skills
  • Proactive with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks effectively.
