The Sales and E-Distribution Manager is responsible for maximizing the hotel's revenue through effective sales strategies, optimal distribution channel management, and fostering relationships with key partners. This role involves managing online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and direct booking channels to ensure the hotel's presence and competitiveness across all platforms. The manager will work closely with the Hotels’ General Manager to align sales strategies with overall business goals and enhance the hotel's market share.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to inform sales tactics
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management
  • Manage and optimize relationships with OTAs, GDS, and other distribution partners
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date content, availability, and pricing across all distribution channels
  • Monitor and adjust distribution strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy rates
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement online marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Oversee the hotel’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, informative, and optimized for search engines
  • Work closely with the Hotels’ General Manager to develop pricing strategies and inventory control measures
  • Analyze booking patterns, market conditions, and historical data to optimize room rates and availability
  • Implement dynamic pricing models to enhance revenue potential
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other key partners
  • Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and client meetings to promote the hotel’s offerings
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare detailed sales reports and presentations for senior management
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and guest satisfaction

Qualifications & Assets: 

  • Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field
  • Candidate should have 3 to 5 years of successful revenue management experience at a multi-property level
  • Maltese speaking will be considered an asset
  • Experience in hotel revenue management is important to the success of this role. Candidate must have excellent analytical skills and must fully comprehend the travel industry distribution landscape. This includes third party channels, GDS, central reservation systems, and property management systems
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are imperative as the candidate will interact remotely with hotels, interact frequently with corporate brand representation, and will coach direct reports on revenue management best practices. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate ideas in verbal and written presentations
  • Candidate must exhibit strong personal confidence and good presentation skills, willingness to learn continuously and have a structured approach to planning, being a team player and able to work independently and under pressure whilst successfully managing a team
