AX Group Plc in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Summary:
AX Hotels is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team. Under the general guidance and supervision of the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller, and within the established hotel policies and procedures, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our esteemed establishment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current
  • Performing cashiering duties and taking care of daily cash reconciliations
  • Recording information, processing, and filing forms
  • Assist and complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reviewing and posting payments received from clients
  • Assist the credit control function for payment chasing
  • Updating ledgers, researching, and resolving discrepancies
  • Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles
  • Responding appropriately to vendor, client, and internal requests
  • Assist with year-end audit requests
  • Perform general office support like filing and any other administrative tasks which may arise.


Requirements:

  • Capable to work on own initiative
  • Proficient computer literacy in Word, excel and emails
  • Experience in accounting packages and MS Office is a necessity
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills
  • Fluent in both Maltese and English language
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position
  • Advanced level of accounting or an equivalent accounting course.
