Senior Finance Assistant

Our client operating within the energy industry is seeking to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant to join their Finance team. The selected person will have the following responsibilities:

• Processing and issuing of invoices
• Maintaining the accounting ledgers and liaising with suppliers where necessary
• Managing and controlling petty cash and updating cash flow
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns 
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Overseeing the monthly payments process
• Assisting in the annual statutory audit process 
• Participating in meetings and raising suggestions for the improvement of the team
• Other ad-hoc duties which may be required from time to time 

• Previous local experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication in English both verbally and written
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Meticulous with excellent interpersonal skills

• AAT diploma/ Initial stages of ACCA
