We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client's client accounting team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in preparing management accounts, resolving complex accountancy issues, and overseeing a team of junior accountants.
 
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a full-service certified public accounting practice specializing in tax, audit and financial planning services and is located in Birkirkara.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication and exceptional service
  • Prepare Management Accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to clients on their financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement financial strategies and solutions tailored to their specific needs and objectives
  • Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes for client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Resolve complex accounting issues and technical challenges, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to provide effective solutions
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional growth and development.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite especially Microsoft Excel
  • Highly proficient in preparing and delivering accurate management accounts
  • Highly proficient in tax and vat returns
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

EDUCATION:
Fully qualified or in the final stages of completing the ACCA qualification.
 
WORKING TIME:
Flexibility in starting time, from 08:00 till 09:00, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break to be taken at your pace.
