Senior Accountant ( Full time/ Reduced)

Job Description

SAK Ltd, Rubicon Ltd and Rubicon Retail Ltd represent the brands The Body Shop, Calzedonia, Tezenis and Intimissimi in Malta and are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their in-house Finance team on a full-time basis or reduced hours basis (30 hours per week).

The ideal candidate must:

• Have an accounting and / or finance degree or training.

• Be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Be organised and methodical in all work performed.

• Be able to work on own initiative and in a team whilst adhering to deadlines.

• Be attentive to detail and able to multi-task.

• Be proficient in spoken and written English.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintaining general ledgers, reconciliations and analysis.

• Assisting in the preparation of the monthly and annual management accounts.

• Assisting with the companies’ audit processes.

• Supervising the companies’ stock system.

• Preparing periodical and ad hoc reports as requested.

• Preparing VAT returns.

• Preparing and running monthly payroll.

Minimum qualifications required:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience.

• Fully qualified accountant or currently in the final stages of attaining ACCA.

• Knowledge of Italian would be considered an asset.
