Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading CSP is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be outsourced to one of their esteemed clients, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity.

Main responsibilities :

• Compilation of financial statements and management accounts in accordance with IFRS/GAPSME and the Maltese Companies Act
• Preparation and filing of income tax returns
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Managing correspondence with the Maltese tax authorities
• Conducting variance analysis and evaluating accounting ratios
• Providing additional reports as requested by management
• Collaborating closely with senior management
• Supervising, coaching, mentoring, reviewing, and supporting junior finance staff
• Coordinating with external auditors during the annual financial audit
• Ensuring timely submissions and compliance with deadlines
• Participating in internal training sessions for staff

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting
• In-depth knowledge of Maltese income tax and VAT legislation
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office tools

• ACCA qualification or equivalent
