Accountant

A reputable client of ours, a Group of Entities operating primarily within the Yachting / Maritime Industry is seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing business and team of professionals.

Duties:

• Maintain and update financial records accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare daily sales and management reports
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Support in budget monitoring, ensuring expenditure aligns with set financial objectives
• Contribute to financial forecasting and cost analysis based on historical and current data
• Oversee payroll processing and maintain accurate employee financial records
• Support the CFO in meeting statutory and regulatory filing obligations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including timely invoice processing and follow-ups
• Ensure proper internal controls are maintained
• Track inventory and assist with stock valuation
• Issue and manage purchase orders in line with internal policies
• Provide regular financial insights to management, assisting with strategic decision-making
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial professionals as necessary
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data across all systems
• Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and project-based assignments
• Keep abreast of developments in accounting standards and practices relevant to the hospitality industry

• Previous experience within the hospitality or restaurant sector is considered an asset
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Partially or fully qualified Accountant
