Our client, a well established Insurance company, is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day management of the finance function, providing guidance and support to the Operations team.
Ensure timely submission of financial reports, addressing any arising issues to the Corporate Head of Finance and the General Manager.
Execute head office requests, schedules, and key performance indicators on time.
Oversee external auditors in completing the annual audits and internal audits when necessary.
Lead financial planning, accounting, and budgeting, including financial and economic analysis.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Manage Balance Sheet, Cash Flow projections, and all aspects of Treasury management.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for regulatory compliance.
Oversee the compilation and submission of all tax-related documentation.
Provide financial support and advice to the General Manager for business management and decision-making.
Build strong relationships with clients and providers to enhance brand loyalty and respect.
Manage provider payments efficiently to avoid delays.
Supervise the administration team, ensuring tasks are completed punctually, accurately, and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintain high standards of conduct, honesty, and integrity.
Manage the office environment to ensure it is safe, clean, attractive, and functional.
Ensure the office is well-stocked with supplies and maintained to a high standard.
Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure timely salary payments, double-checking payroll outputs before processing.
Requirements
Accountancy qualification with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with high levels of integrity and professionalism.
Experience with accounting software, especially SAP, is considered an asset.
