Junior Accountant

Our client, in the Hospitality industry, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their finance team.

The selected candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting practices and work closely with the Financial Controller to assist with financial reporting, statements, and team support.

Responsibilities:

• Process general ledger entries, accounts payable, and receivable transactions.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and monitoring deadlines.
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
• Supervise and guide team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Provide necessary documentation for audits and assist during audit processes.
• Perform other ad-hoc reporting duties as needed.

• Degree in Accounting or in the process of obtaining ACCA certification.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role (preferred).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships with effective communication

• Actively studying ACCA or at initial stages of obtaining an Accounting qualification
