Junior Accountant

Our client, in the financial and asset services industry is looking to recruit an Accounts Executive to join their Finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in monthly closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and transaction recording for the Company and related entities.
• Handle debtors and creditors, ensuring timely collections and payments, and conducting reconciliations.
• Aid in preparing monthly management accounts and reports.
• Process payments, manage banking relationships, and reconcile bank accounts.
• Support banking relationships and client cash account reconciliation processes.
• Assist in liquidity management and foreign exchange operations.
• Compile and analyze financial information to support business objectives.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and VAT return preparation processes.
• Assist in automating and optimizing accounting processes.
• Stay updated on international accounting standards, best practices, and regulations.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

• Minimum 2 years' finance experience; pursuing Accountant qualification or aspiration to become one.
• Pursuing an Accounting qualification or aspiration to become one.
• Technical knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local tax and VAT regulations advantageous.
• Attention to detail and integrity.
• Effective relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Willingness to learn and manage processes independently.
• Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
