Junior Accountant

Our client, a small CSP is looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their Client Accounting department. Reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the day-to-day accounting requirements within the department while establishing and maintaining relationships with the clients assigned to them.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a portfolio of clients whilst keeping their accounting obligations up to date
• Maintaining accounting records and completing day to day bookkeeping
• Preparing management accounts and VAT compliance
• Preparing monthly Payroll and FSS requirements
• Meeting with clients and attending to their requests and queries
• Responding and assisting to ad-hoc queries and tasks as instructed from management

• Previous local accounting experience working in a CSP
• Proficient with MS office applications, particularly Excel
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team
• Excellent written and spoken English and Maltese

• Actively studying ACCA or equivalent
