Our client in the manufacturing sector is opening an exciting Finance Manager opportunity to oversee the financial operations in Malta. This role emphasizes treasury management and taxation, ensuring the company maintains a strong cash position and complies with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of company
  • Prepare and deliver timely monthly management accounts.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget and any necessary periodic forecasting.
  • Manage the costing process, including the establishment of labor and overhead absorption rates.
  • Oversee cash flow management for the company.
  • Implement process improvements within the financial function and influence other departments to enhance the timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Serve as a key member of the company's management team, contributing to the overall performance of the Malta factory.
  • Provide financial advice and support to the Managing Director.
  • Ensure that departmental heads and other support functions receive necessary financial information.
  • Participate in management meetings and cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Stay updated on best practices in finance, particularly as they relate to manufacturing, through reading, training, and involvement with external groups or industry bodies.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit with external auditors.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant or actively studying towards an Accounting Qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel).
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective leadership abilities.
