A client of ours specialising in the Manufacturing sector is currently looking to onboard a Junior Accountant to join their team of professionals:
Duties:
Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts and statutory financial statements;
Supervising the activities of the accounting staff;
Overseeing month-end closing and year-end closing and coordinating and assigning duties to the accounting staff as needed;
Being the first point of call, in maintaining accounting systems and subsidiary ledgers software to ensure the proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping of accounting company transactions performed within the IFRS framework
Providing, guidance, and direction to employees to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely, and knowledgeable manner
Managing the Company’s debt collection process
Overseeing the end-of-year statutory audit process as directed by the Head of Finance
Preparing VAT returns for review by the Head of Finance
Assisting in the formulation of internal controls, policies and procedures, as well as assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Assuming responsibility for other roles within the department when staff is not available.
Skill-sets and Requirements
Must have at least 2 years within an accounting position
Must have excellent communication skills in English
Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Education & Experience
Must be in the process of obtaining an Accounting Qualification
