A client of ours specialising in Business Support Services is looking to onboard a Group Financial Controller to join their team of professionals:
Duties:
To ensure the timely production of all budgets, forecasts, management and statutory reports to meet Group and Divisional requirements.
Ensure that rigorous financial and other operating controls are implemented and enforced throughout the Group.
Manage the annual budgets of the respective Group companies - preparing ad-hoc forecasts and analysis as required.
Prepare financial models, including tax planning, funding models, acquisition and restructuring plans as well as other major investments.
Prepare/review management accounts and supporting documentation ensuring that standard management accounts meet the needs of the business, managing changes to format and content.
Manage the statutory annual audit process and Group strategic risk and internal control reviews
Coordination of operational banking relationships and bank/internal borrowing.
Manage cash flow/credit control, preparing forecasts as necessary.
Manage payroll, PAYE/S.S., VAT and other corporate tax issues.
Select, train, develop and motivate the employees within the Finance Department.
Continually drive the performance of the Finance team through implementing and demonstrating good business practices/behaviours.
Regularly review and improve accounting / costing systems.
Monitor and adapt internal financial control procedures as business processes evolve.
Advise the Board and management teams on financial and legal matters related to finance, providing financial input to help execute the Group's strategy.
Ensure that all legal and Company safety, environmental and security standards are met.
Requirements
Possess strong interpersonal skills, as the job requires communication with multiple functions and at many levels within the organisation
Excellent IT and presentation skills
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
A strong / solid background in Corporate Finance is a non negotiable requirement.
Education and Experience
In possession of a recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACMA/ ACCA/CIMA/MIA or equivalent)
Must be a fully qualified and locally warranted Finance professional
