One of our key clients, a Retail and Manufacturing entity, operating internationally, is seeking to recruit a Group Chief Financial Officer to join their team of professionals. The appointed individual will work closely with the Finance Director, Strategy Team, and the Group Managing Director on various financial projects. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the Group's accounting consolidation and reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Presenting Financial Reporting to the Board of Directors alongside the Financial Director
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements at the Group level
  • Building working relationships with external 3rd parties such as banks, Financial Advisors, Insurance Agencies, Credit Agencies, Financial Regulators, and other Financial Institutions as relevant at the Group level
  • Evaluating, managing and mitigating financial and other risks in collaboration with the Board of Directors
  • Reviewing and building business plans set by the operating companies within the Group, and challenge to ensure alignment to Group strategic plans
  • Supporting the achievement of operational and commercial objectives which contribute to the long-term profitability of the Group
  • Supporting the relevant department in ensuring a robust Internal Audit function is in place within the Group, to assess and report on the effectiveness of Governance, Risk Management, and Control Processes
  • Optimising cash and financing, providing a financing strategy for major investments and thorough research into external funding options
  • Researching external funding options and putting in place agreements for additional sources of funds to finance future business growth
  • Developing a pipeline for growth through M&A activity aligned with the Group’s objectives
  • Providing financial analysis for the Board both when assessing potential new investments alongside reviewing the performance of current business activities
  • Assessing future acquisitions including full Due Diligence and Integration Analysis.
  • Overseeing and aligning C-Suite level Finance staff across the Group and ensuring adequate succession planning and talent development is in place for the top Finance positions in the operating companies.
Skill-sets and Requirements
  • 18 years overall experience, of which a minimum of 3 years' experience at a Group Leadership level.
  • 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience of Mergers and Acquisition management
  • Experience in an international setting will be considered an asset
  • Strategic Thinking and change management
Education & Experience
  • Warranted and Chartered Accountant
