Financial Controller

A client of ours specialising in the hospitality industry is looking to onboard a Financial Controller to join and lead their Finance team:

Duties:

• Manage the month-end process leading to the preparation and submission of accurate monthly management accounts in a timely manner
• Lead the preparation and reviewing of annual budgets, monthly forecasts and operating results
• Prepare financial statements according to laws and regulations
• Coordinate the external audits and finance related internal audits as may be required
• Manage the finance team in the day-to-day operations, including general accounting postings, monitoring of sales invoices, suppliers’ payments and payroll entries
• Together with the finance team coordinate the implementation of new finance related projects
• Provide assistance in compliance with corporate tax obligations
• Maintain and assist in updating the internal control system around finance processes
• Prepare additional ad-hoc reporting as requested by management, banks, NSO and notaries
• Effectively implement all accounting policies and procedures
• Assist proactively with cost control requirements; revenue enhancement possibilities; and profit improvement opportunities
• Responsible to liaise regularly on strategic developments, goals and operations of the Company with the General Manager and respective Managing Directors.

• Time-management skills with the ability to deliver multiple tasks / projects to deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Must possess strong Excel skills
• Proven experience working in a similar leadership role

• In possession of a University Degree in accounting or an equivalent qualification such as ACCA
