Our Client is a well known, highly reputable group of companies operating throughout Malta. A Financial Controller / Finance Manager is now required to ensure the Finance Department for a significant group company is properly run at all times.
Reporting to the Group CFO, responsibilities will include:
Managing the Accounts department
Preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts including full year forecast profit and
loss.
Assisting Auditors, Board Members and Management as required
Managing creditors and debtors portfolio
Preparing Monthly profit and loss reports; quarterly VAT returns and submissions; monthly creditors and debtors’ ageing reports; monthly cash flow reports; bank reconciliations; financial reports; reconciliation reports of cash suspense accounts
Managing and concluding weekly / monthly bank statement reconciliation according to the company’s policies and processes.
Maintaining relations with external auditors and ensure preparation for audits is carried out up until the audit stage.
Monitoring cash balances and cash forecasts.
Developing and documenting accounting business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Producing the yearly budgeting processes and assisting in the yearly business plan.
Talent will:
Possess a relevant Degree and / or have completed ACCA
Be highly communicative
Demonstrate a high level of organisation skills together with a positive attitude to working within a team environment
Have knowledge of SFM and MS Office software
