We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our client's team. You will be reconciling accounts, assisting with VAT returns, issuing and posting invoices etc. If successful, you will be joining a focused and professional team that encourages continuous learning and career ambition.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a bank offering banking services to international corporate clients and is located in Sliema, Malta.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Issuing and posting of supplier invoices.
Issuing invoices to debtors.
Processing of supplier payments.
Petty Cash and VISA postings.
Preparing and posting bank entries.
Reconciliations of bank accounts.
Reconciliations of creditors.
Upload daily bank balances.
Accruals and prepayments reconciliation.
Assist with VAT returns.
Scanning for Docuware.
Assist with month-end tasks.
Update of the fixed assets register.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in an accounting role.
You are computer literate and have a good working knowledge of MS Excel.
Very good command of the English language.
You are a team player, self-motivated and able to work independently.
You possess multi-tasking and analytical skills as well as an eye for detail.
You are able to deliver tasks effectively in a timely manner and according to deadlines set.
You possess excellent inter and intrapersonal skills.
You are able to work under pressure.
Must be an EU/EEA/a Swiss national.
EDUCATION
Candidate should be partly ACCA qualified.
