Finance Manager

Our client, operating in the retail industry is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager. The selected candidate will be managing a small team and have the following responsibilities:

• Preparing of financial reporting of a number of entities and ensuring that the appropriate financial controls are in place
• Analyzing and reporting of financial business performance whilst interacting with different stakeholders and proposing action plans in relation to finance
• Preparing and submitting of budgets and forecasts
• Managing of liquidity which includes preparation of cash forecasts
• Settlement of trade and non trade liabilities in a timely manner
• Preparing and submitting of VAT returns
• Liaising with external auditors and other third parties 
• Ensuring compliance is adhered to at all times and is line with the company's policies and procedures as well as with the necessary local regulations
• Liaising with the Regional Head of Finance
• Any other duty which may be require from time to time

• Minimum three years of experience in a similar role
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Possess excellent intrapersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese
• Ability to work on own initiative

• Fully qualified and locally warranted accountant or in the last stages of ACCA
