Finance Executive

Our client is seeking to recruit a Finance Executive to join their Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller.

What you'll be doing

• Maintenance of the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payment
• Maintain the sales ledger, including invoicing, customer receipts and credit control
• Support the upkeep of the nominal ledger by preparing journals and ensuring accurate financial records
• Help monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to queries
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring
• Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations
• Support VAT returns and other statutory filings as required
• Perform general administrative duties within the finance department

Requirements

• 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles and reporting standards
• Strong understanding of Excel
• Excellent spoke and written English & Maltese

Education and Experience

• A level in Accounts
• Ideally in the process of completing ACCA
