Deputy Head of Finance

Our client, an International private aviation company based in Malta, is looking to recruit a Deputy Head of Finance reporting to the Head of Finance:

Responsibilities :

• Collaborating with the Head of Finance in daily operations.
• Ensuring the accuracy of accounting records.
• Contributing to the month-end process for the submission of precise monthly management accounts.
• Handling the posting of invoices and journals in our accounting software tool.
• Timely preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Formulating policies, procedures, and controls.
• Engaging with and providing support to external auditors.
• Aiding the Head of Finance in the budgeting process.
• Coordinating with the Head of Finance for the implementation of new projects.
• Assisting the Head of Finance and the team with any ad-hoc requests.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Able to work to meet agreed deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Microsoft Excel literate
• Experience in cost control, budgeting and reporting will be considered an asset
• Previous experience in Aviation industry will be preferred
• Eye for detail

• Fully Qualified and warranted accountant
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
