Accounts Officer

• Assign expenses to the appropriate cost centre
• Issuing payments to foreign suppliers
• Carrying out bank reconciliations
• Carrying intercompany reconciliations
• Investigating variances between actual and budgeted/estimated results
• Ensuring that the fixed assets register is up to date and reconciling with the relevant asset control accounts
• Assisting in the VAT return process and in the submission of data required by the NSO department
• Review receipts closed as complimentary, voids and bring to the attention of the Finance Manager any irregular, unexplained or unauthorised voids
• Participate and assist in the Annual Financial Audit Preparation
• Monitoring and assessment of Internal Control Systems.

• 'A' level standard of education in accountancy and possibly have started ACCA
• A minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Good eye for detail and organised
• Able to work alone and on own initiative as well as in a team
• Be flexible and have a practical approach.
