Our Client a leading Cargo group is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Executive to join their team of professionals. The appointed candidate will be performing the below duties;
Understanding the Group’s business with particular emphasis on the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes and timeframes
Updating, reviewing and monitoring of bookkeeping which includes stock management system
Issuing and reviewing of customer invoices, maintaining and chasing receivables, accrued income and other related payments
Carrying out daily tasks such as general ledger entries, reconciliations and inter-company transactions
Posting and reviewing of purchase invoices and monitoring accounts payable
Managing monthly and annual reporting tasks, including but not limited to inter-company reconciliations, completeness of accruals and prepayments, ensuring proper income and cost allocation, reviewing and reconciling of Balance sheet accounts
Processing of payments and preparing of cash flow forecasting and related analysis
Assisting with the preparation of budgets and other financial reports
Supporting with financial and statutory reporting and assisting with periodic VAT and tax reporting
Liaising with external auditors and other third parties
Participating in internal projects and any other duties which may be required from time to time
Requirements
3 years previous experience in a similar role. Candidates with a retail and stock management background will be given preference
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, and preferably Maltese too
Self-motivated and flexible with a can-do attitude, willing to learn, and capable of working under pressure and independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Fully qualified accountants or in the last stages of ACCA
