Accounts Clerk

Job Description
Bartoli Brothers Ltd in Malta is seeking to employ a highly-skilled Accounts Clerk to help support the finance team with daily operations.

Job Role: 
The accounting clerk will be under the leadership of the Director maintaining financial records, reconciling bank statements, performing administration duties, debtor chasing, and managing our accounting databases.

Objectives and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced department
• Be a resource for accounts payable and receivable
• Execute accurate filing, reporting, and database management
• Ensure general management of the office and act as a liaison between the company and staff, providing information, answering questions, and responding to requests
• Answer and direct phone calls
• Secures financial information and keeps information confidential
• Match, batch, and code vendor invoices
• Participate in month-end activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, sales tax computations, and other accounting duties in a timely manner
• Assist in billing by preparing and sending invoices, maintaining client databases, tracking accounts, overseeing invoice workflow
• Assist in year-end audit requests
• Achieve organizational goals and maintain efficiency and productivity.

Requirements: 

• Knowledge of basic financial, tax and account principles is essential, in addition to excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role is required.
