Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the Junior Accountant/s will be accountable to deliver best practice accounting and
reporting for our function, including preparation and presentation of financial statements, preparation of vat returns, and
other regulatory filings. This role is a key engager across other functions, also supporting the Finance Director in delivering
continuous improvement as the function evolves.
Core responsibilities:
· Booking Journal Entries to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded
· Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End closing process
· Monthly reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules of our balance sheet accounts.
· Delivering financial statements
· Preparing and filing VAT Returns
· Assisting with the preparation of cash flow forecasts
· Assisting with onboarding and due diligence exercises from our corporate service providers.
· Keeping up with financial regulations
· Effectively complete quarterly financial reviews and annual financial audits, including timely and accurate responses
to information requests from internal and external auditors.
· Continuously learn to be a backup for the Manager Accounting - Europe, including developing more leadership
experience.
· Effectively support, in partnership with your leader on all other projects and initiatives to ensure the Accounting and
Financial Reporting team can successfully deliver on their objectives.
Required Education and Experience:
· Applicants must have or be in the process of obtaining an Accounting Degree or Qualification such as ACCA.
· Minimum 3 years working in an accounting position
· Experience in preparation and filing of VAT declarations.
· Working knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
· Strong communication skills and excellent knowledge of English language
Preferred Experience:
· Knowledge of US GAAP, Oracle NetSuite and/or Blackline would be considered an asset.
