Apcopay is expanding its team and is seeking to engage a skilled Technical Delivery Manager to assist in the delivery of high-quality payment services to our diverse clientele.

The Position
Based in Malta and reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the Technical Delivery Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of projects aimed at facilitating the successful onboarding of merchants onto our platform. This multifaceted position involves managing relationships, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon requirements, overseeing project timelines both internally and externally, and providing technical support for customer inquiries. The selected candidate will utilize their technical acumen to facilitate the seamless utilization of our Platform by technical teams, bridging the gap between business and technology realms.

The Technical Delivery Manager will play a key role in project management, serving as the main point of contact for merchants whilst overseeing projects from start to finish. This includes developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

The role involves reviewing and discussing technical specifications and designs, assisting merchants with their technical requirements, and guiding them through the integration process, through the preparation and delivery of technical documentation and training materials. Ensuring that merchants have the necessary resources and knowledge for successful platform integration and usage is a primary responsibility.

The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for risk management, identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks by developing contingency plans and risk response strategies, as well as monitoring and controlling project risks throughout the project lifecycle. Identifying opportunities for process enhancement, contributing to the improvement of project delivery methodologies, implementing best practices and standards across projects, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices, are also key responsibilities linked to this role.

The Company
Apcopay Limited, orchestrated by Synthesis, is a Single Layer Payments Orchestration Platform, that has been supporting merchants since 2004. It provides a unified, all-in-one solution, offering over 40 acquiring banks and 240+ payment options, processing 100 currencies for over 1200 merchants in 25 countries and connecting through a range of payment methods, including options such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

The Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in technical disciplines, industry-recognized Project Management Certification, and/or Training, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar position are required for the role.

The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in API development and testing tools like Postman, Swagger, and REST assured. Knowledge of payment gateway technologies, PCI-DSS, EMV, and software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum is desirable.

Additionally, project management skills, proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, and Microsoft Project, and experience in project management frameworks are required. Leadership, communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills are crucial, including the ability to lead technical teams, resolve conflicts, analyze technical requirements, and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
