IT Systems Analyst

Our client who's a leading insurance company in Malta, is looking for an IT Systems Analyst to join their dynamic team.

Your Responsibilities:

• Understand business needs and help find the best tech solutions.
• Lead projects to gather business requirements and create necessary documentation.
• Know the IT systems to help design and implement suitable solutions.
• Design and set up IT solutions for new or existing systems.
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, servers, hardware, and databases.
• Create and test prototypes for system changes and new requirements.
• Define and write use cases.
• Create test plans to ensure everything works correctly.
• Write and perform functional test cases.
• Help estimate and plan IT projects.
• Understand and map out business processes.
• Follow best practices for scalability, support, maintenance, and performance.

• 3-5 years of Information Systems & Systems Analysis experience required
• A high level of technical expertise and broad knowledge of hardware, software, and programming
• Knowledge of PL/SQL, VB.NET, and Java would be an asset
• Experience in Insurance Industry would be highly desirable and considered an asset

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science and/or a Business related field is considered an asset
• Project Management Certification: Prince 2, PMP and/or Agile (Scrum Master) considered an asset
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) considered an asset
• Experience in Insurance Industry would be highly desirable and considered an asset
