IT Manager

Michele Peresso Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit an IT Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
Michele Peresso Group is mainly active in the retail market through its subsidiaries Eurosport Ltd., Europharma Ltd. and Michele Peresso Fashion Ltd.
We are currently recruiting for the position of IT Manager.

The selected candidate will be fully responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems for the Michele Peresso Group.
The IT manager will also align IT initiatives with the overall objectives of the MPG and its companies, ensuring that technology resources are effectively utilised to drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the Group IT strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives, and through effective management and leadership of the IT team
• Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality services and infrastructure
• Collaborating with other departments and senior management to understand business requirements, priorities, and challenges. Communicating IT initiatives, progress, and achievements to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
• Drive digital transformation initiatives to modernise business processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience
• Lead IT risk management efforts, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate safeguards and controls
• Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the organisation's data and IT assets from cybersecurity threats, breaches, and unauthorized access
• Evaluating and selecting IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services
• The IT manager is responsible for the installation and efficient management of networks
• Overseeing IT projects from initiation to completion, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications
• Responsible for ensuring that the IT team effectively support with timely resolution of user issues and provides excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• At least 5 years’ experience in an IT management position
• Strong technical expertise across a broad range of IT domains, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data management
• Excellent leadership and management skills with a strong strategic thinking approach
• Effective communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Relevant IT certifications preferred.
