Internal Systems Developer

Due to our expanding operations and continued investment in digital systems, we are seeking a technical, organised and detail-oriented Internal Systems Developer to support the development, maintenance and improvement of internal software systems, business applications and digital processes.

The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, analytical and solution-oriented, with strong programming skills, good communication skills and a willingness to understand business operations across the company. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys building practical business solutions, improving internal systems, automating processes and working closely with users to solve real operational problems.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing, maintaining and improving internal software applications and business systems
• Supporting the design, testing and implementation of new digital tools and workflows
• Provide support on external projects requiring software intervention and being comfortable working with the associated hardware
• Troubleshooting software issues and providing technical support to internal group company users
• Assisting with system integrations between internal platforms, databases and third-party applications
• Writing clean, reliable and well-documented code
• General knowledge on leveraging AI and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in a business context to improve process efficiency
• Maintaining and improving existing databases, reports and automated processes
• Collaborating with different departments to understand operational requirements and propose practical software solutions
• Supporting data accuracy, system performance and process efficiency
• Assisting with cybersecurity and system reliability measures
• Preparing technical documentation, user guides and system notes where required
• Monitoring software performance and resolving bugs, errors or data flow issues
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal IT and digital processes

Role requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar 
• Strong knowledge of software development principles and programming languages
• Experience with databases, SQL and data management with a basic knowledge of BI systems
• Good understanding of web-based applications, APIs and system integrations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions
• Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical users
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently
• Experience managing projects to completion
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices considered an asset
• Prior experience in software development, IT systems support or business process automation 
• Experience with ERP systems, CRM systems, reporting tools or healthcare-related software would be considered an asset
